BBC Panorama program presenter John Sweeney does a follow up to his 2007 program, "Scientology and Me." In "The Secrets Of Scientology" first aired Sept. 28, 2010 on BBC, Sweeney interviews more high ranking Scientology defectors. Mike Rinder, who was pitted against Sweeney in first show, now provides much of the subject matter as a defector in this follow-up. You can view church's Disconnection doctrine first hand, by consequences, Rinder suffered when he left church. The documentary reveals esoteric teachings accessed by Level III Operating Thetans AKA "The Wall of Fire." The teachings are centered on a figure called Xenu.
"Xenu, also spelled Xemu, was, according to the founder of Scientology L. Ron Hubbard, the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who, 75 million years ago, brought billions of his people to Earth in a DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes and killed them using hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the essences of these many people remained, and that they form around people in modern times, causing them spiritual harm," according to Wikipedia entry.
It's noteworthy the Church denies knowledge of Xenu. You may listen to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard discuss Xemu in his own words here. You can also watch the Scientology documentary on BBC and Sweeney in the spirit of a fair and balanced presentation!
