The Electric Universe theory derided by mainstream as pseudoscience, often offers a more coherent explanation. Talbot provides account how powerful electric arc crossed the face of Mars to carve out smooth sculpted surfaces, a terrain that doesn’t resemble the results of geological processes and water erosion.  Wal Thornhill also examines Valles Marineris in 2003 article, “Spiral Galaxies & Grand Canyons.” It’s best to keep an open mind, after all, Earth was once believed the center of our Universe.
