Vigilant Citizen (VC) explains importance of twin pillars in Freemasonry in article, “The Esoteric Meaning Of The Twin Pillars:  Boaz And Jachin.” “The account of Solomon’s Temple [picture] is of great importance in Freemasonry as each detail of the building holds an important esoteric meaning. The Twin pillars act as a ‘portal to the Mysteries’ by standing on each side of the entrance to a sacred place,” informs VC.  The article reveals symbolism of the two pillars is multi-layered with some symbols directed at the profane (uninitiated) and other meaning reserved for higher degrees.  “However, it is generally accepted that
the Jachin and Boaz represent the equilibrium between two opposite
forces,” adds VC. In another article, writer Tony Badillo suggests in “the Secret of Solomon’s Pillars: Jachin and Boaz,” “the secret is this: The Jachin pillar (meaning Yah establishes) is King Solomon, and the Boaz pillar (meaning strength) is King David. And these two were Israel’s most illustrious kings and also the ones mostly responsible for planning and/or building the Jewish Temple.
