Zombie Meme lives with latest incarnation, “Warm Bodies.” Wikipedia supplies plot summary below:

“After a zombie apocalypse R (Nicholas Hoult), a zombie, wanders across America which is now filled with abandoned buildings, broken down cars and hordes of his fellow undead, including his friend M (Rob Corddry). He and M are able to grunt or moan at each other and are able to communicate. As a zombie he constantly craves human brains as he is able to “get high” on the memories of their former owners. After encountering and eating the brains of a teenage boy, R is overcome with love for the teen’s companion and girlfriend, Julie Grigio (Teresa Palmer). R rescues Julie from his zombie pack and takes her back to an airplane at an airport that serves as his home. When Julie eventually leaves the airport, R follows her back to Citi Field, one of the largest remaining human refuges from the zombies. There he meets her friend Nora (Analeigh Tipton) and her father, leader of the human group, General Grigio (John Malkovich). As their relationship develops R, become increasingly more human and this sets off a chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and change the humans’ perceptions of the zombies forever.”

A long list of Zombie Movies reveals how mythos of Zombie-like creatures amongst us, is virtually, an engrained part of culture. The present writer always enjoyed these movies, but question remains why saturation of films with flesh-eating and not quite alive beings?
