Horror Film About Demonic Possession Shooting in Williamsburg

from dnainfo.com: A converted warehouse building on Cook Street will soon be the setting for a world where demonic possessions are the norm. Ava’s Possessions,” an indie supernatural thriller directed by Jordan Galland, has set up in a warehouse building at 225 Cook St., according to location manager Philip Prince. A good portion of the film takes place in one of the building’s apartments, which in the movie belongs to main character Ava, played by “Young Adult” actress Louisa Krause, Prince said. Some exterior shots of the industrial building itself will also appeal in the film, he said. The ensemble cast also includes another familiar Brooklyn face, Jemima Kirke of “Girls,” according to The Wrap.

In the movie, Krause is possessed by a demon and ordered to go to rehab — similar to the way people with drug addictions must go to rehab in the real world, Prince said. “Your face changes, you act incredibly different from how you normally are,” he said of the film’s demonic possessions. “Once you’re out of it, you can’t realize how you could do those terrible things you could have done.” Filming, which starts Wednesday, will take place for eight to nine days, Prince said. Krause has also appeared in the 2011 indie film “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Galland has also directed “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead” and “Alter Egos.”
