Maclean’s introduces us to Generation P, a film recently shown a the Toronto International Film Festival portraying “the Chechen mafia, a dancing Boris Yeltsin, spin doctors fronting a Babylonian cult, computer-generated virtual politicians, Marshall McLuhan, magic mushrooms, LSD, and vast whorls of cocaine forming a mandala on a Persian rug” In the unnervingly common intersection on politics and the occult, we are told that Apostle Vladimir Putin is a fan of this movie which, also portrays the use of an Ouija board to contact the ghost of Che Guevara.
